Spike variant cover, issue 1 of 5
Dark Horse requested that I use a more comic bookish look for these Spike covers, to create a better visual separation between my variants and the main cover art. I essentially used my sequential style, but I drew/colored it all in Photoshop rather than Illustrator, which had been my typical means of drawing sequential art. After finishing this cover, I realized I had gone a little too thick on some of the line art...so subsequent covers, for this series, will be on a line-weight diet.

Alice and The Huldra
I sketched these some time ago, during a long blackout, when I was forced to draw on paper. The first is a Huldra, which is a mythic Scandinavian forest creature. The second is a detail for what will eventually become a large "Butterbroda" piece of Alice in Wonderland.

An earlier version of this cover had been released with a slightly less baked version of Angel's face lol, but the fixed version above is what will see print. I was so caught up rendering Dru and detailing her dress, that by the time I was coloring Angel, my objectivity was out the window...A little time away remedied the problem though.
